The New Youth Orphanage is based in the outskirts of Kathmandu, Nepal, and is home to 47 children ranging from 1 to 18 years of age.

The orphanage lacks all but very basic amenities, though negotiations are underway to build, rather than rent, a home for them in the near future.

In the mean time, Trekking For Nepal is concentrating on supplementing the children's diet with milk and fruit, supplying clothes, books, toys and bedding.

School Kit for Kids

June 2009 sees the launch of a micro-sponsorship scheme, to provide each individual child with uniform and laundry, school books, stationery and winter coat and shoes.

Computers 

We are currently searching for 4 new or nearly new computers for the children's school, Diamond School in Kathmandu. This donation will be matched by the school in terms of free extra computer lessons for the older children.
