Everest base camp trek is starts with a 30 minute flight to Lukla, the classical Everest base camp trek used to start from Jiri.Four mountain above 8000 meters high namely, mount Everest (8848m), mount Chooyu(8201m), mount Lhotse(8516m),and mount Makalu(8481m) spectacularly shines at the northern side of Nepal. Day 1: Arrive at Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel
Upon arrival, our staff will pick you up and transfer you to hotel. Our Trekking Manager will discuss about the details about your trekking.
Day 2: Kathmandu – Phakding (2610m) (B &B/Lunch/Dinner)
After breakfast, we will take a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla which takes around 45 minutes. Lukla is the gateway to entire Everest or Khumbu region of Nepal. After landing at the Lukla Airport, Start trek to Chheplung (2660m) for two hour. Arrive in Chheplung (2660m). And continue the trek to ThadoKosiGaon(2580m). Continue the trek to Ghat (2590m) for 1 hour.Arrive in Ghat (2590m) and continue the trek to Phakding (2610m). It will take about 2 hours. You will see beautiful green hill during the trek. Arrive in Phakding (2610m). Rest & Relax.( Lunch & dinner in the hotel in Phakding)
Day 3: Phakding – Namche (3440m) (B &B/Lunch/Dinner)
After breakfast Start the trek to TokTok (2760m) for 1 hour.Arrive in Toktok(2760m) and continue the trek to Bengkar(2710m) for 30 minutes. You can see Thamserku(6618m) mountain on your right hand sight. Arrive in Benker(2710m). From Bengkar, you can see the view of Thamserku(6618m) on front right. Continue the trek to Monjo(2840m) for 1 hour. Arrive in Monjo(2840m). You can see the KhumbilaPeak(5765m) from Manju. Buddhistsbelieve that it is the holy Himalaya and restricted to climb.We will registered and buy the Sagarmatha (Everest) National park entry permit here(Included in fees charged), we then continue the trek to Jorsalle (2810m) for 30 minutes. Arrive in Jor Salle (2810m) and lunch.
Start the trek after Lunch to Hilary Bridge() for 40 minutes. Hilary bridge and start uphill trek to Namche(3440m). Arrive in Namche Bazar(3440 m). Check in hotel, Enjoy the scenic Namche Bazar and splendid view of Kongde(on front), Kusumkhan and Thamserku(at back). Overnight in Namche.
Day 4: A day for rest at Namche Bazaar – for acclimatization (B &B/Lunch/Dinner)
It is an ideal place to spend a rest day for acclimatization before we head off higher towards Tyangboche. Namche Bazaar is an extensive market town where there is always something to see and places to explore. For acclimatization, we can take a walk up to Khumjung Monastery or make an hour’s hike up to Syangboche at 3800 meters from where we can get outstanding view of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kusum Kangaru and other high peaks. There are also good views from the National Park Centre and Museum just above the town.
Day 5: Trek from Namche Bazaar – Tyangboche(3867m) (B &B/Lunch/Dinner)
After spending a full day rest at Namche Bazaar, we will continue our trek towards Tyangboche. To the right there is a steep cliff that drops down to the Dudh Koshi, faintly visible on the valley floor below. It is a rather long climb to Tyangboche. The first half of the trek is especially steep. As we climb through the forested zone, the incline eases and the splendid view of harsh alpine valleys surrounded by snow-capped peaks. Our climb continues until we reach the stone gate built by lamas which mark our entry into Tyangboche.
Day 6: Trek from Tyangboche – Dingboche (4260m )(B &B/Lunch/Dinner)
Today we will leave Tyangboche and start to ascend over the mountain path that offers stunning views of Ama Dablam and Kantega as they appear on the opposite bank. We will continue our uphill trekking as we pass through the chorten-lined route, the upper path passes Pangboche and a monastery and the lower path to Pangboche Olin and its stone wall-enclosed potato field. Our trail climbs slowly passing a village to reach a big Mani Stupa. From there, our trek is fairly moderate all the way to Dingboche. Overnight at Dingboche.
Day 7: A day for rest at Dingboche – for acclimatization (B &B/Lunch/Dinner)
Trek to Nagarjuna(5000m) for 4 hours and see the beautiful views of Amadablam, Makalu, Barunche, Chopolo II, Merapeak. Or you can trek to ChukungVillage(4750m) for 3 hours and explore the village.
Day 8: Dingboche – Lobuche (4940m) (B &B/Lunch/Dinner)
After breakfast, we will follow the trail that heads downward to Pheriche village. After about two hours of trekking from Pheriche, we will arrive at Dugla. Here we will cross a small wooden bridge over the outflow of Khumbu glacier. We will make a stop at Dugla for having lunch. After lunch we continue trekking for an hour up a steep hill to the top from where good views of Mt. Pumori and other peaks west of Everest can be seen. From there our trek continues up to Lobuche for our overnight stay.
Day 9: Lobuche – Everest Basecamp (5300m) – GorakShep (5170m) (B &B/Lunch/Dinner)
Leaving Lobuche we trek up the valley following the rocky moraine trail with views of icy glacial ponds and icebergs down below the Khumbu glacier. After the last rocky moraine dunes, a short downhill walk brings us to Gorakshep. Gorakshep is the flat field below Kala Patthar 5545m and is the last stop with comfy teahouses. From there our trail winds through a rocky path and the Khumbu glacier towards Everest Base Camp. After witnessing a great moment at the Base Camp, we will retrace our steps back towards Gorakshep for our overnight stay.
Day 10: Gorakshep – Kalapatthar (5545m) and downhill trek to Pheriche(B &B/Lunch/Dinner)
Today we start early in order to accomplish an early morning hike to Kala Patthar at 5545 meters and enjoy the magnificent sunrise view over Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumori, Ama Dablam, Kusum Kanguru, and other surrounding peaks within Everest region. After spending quality time at Kalapatthar we will retrace our steps and descend back to Gorakshep. From there it is a downhill trekking all the way to Pheriche. The town of Pheriche is known to be a very windy.
Day 11: Pheriche – Namche(B &B/Lunch/Dinner)
After breakfast,we start trek to Shomare(4070m) for 1 hour. Arrive in Shomare (4070m) and continue the trek to Pangboche(3930m) for 45 minutes. Arrive in Pangboche (3930m) and continue the trek to Deboche (3770m) for 45 minutes. Arrive in Deboche (3770m) and continue the trek to Tengboche (3860m) for 30 minutes. Arrive in Tengboche (3860m) and lunch.
Start the trek after lunch to Namche Bazar(3440m) for 3 hours. Arrive in Namche Bazar(3440m) and check in hotel. Overnight at Namche Bazar.
Day 12: Namche Bazar – Lukla(B &B/Lunch/Dinner)
The last day of this adventurous Everest Base Camp Trekking leads from Namche Bazaar via Monjo to Lukla. The trek is a pleasant journey, except for few short uphill climbs and then down to the Bhote- Koshi River crossing it three times. The last uphill climb of 45 minutes will bring us to Lukla. We will celebrate the completion of the trek with the crew in the evening.
Day 13: Lukla – Kathmandu (B & B)
Today we will take a scenic flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu. After landing at Kathmandu airport, you will be transferred to the hotel. You can either harvest at the hotel or take a walk around the busy shopping streets of Thamel.
Day 14: Fly back to home
Our airport representative will drop you at the International Airport as per your flight schedule.
